Angletarn Pikes across Hartsop Valley in autumn sunshine

Angletarn Pikes across the Hartsop Valley

The climb up High Hartsop Dodd from the Hartsop Valley is up a steep and unrelenting grassy slope. This might not be the most pleasant of climbs but it does get you up onto the fell tops quickly.

While taking one of many breaks on my way up I turned round to admire this view, looking across the Hartsop Valley with the twin-peaked Angletarn Pikes prominent on the ridge on the far side. Brothers Water can also just be seen, partly hidden behind some woods.
