The ‘Brathay copse’ on the banks of the river between Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge.

While walking back along the River Brathay after a dawn shoot at Elterwater Lake I passed this oft-photographed copse of trees. The early morning autumnal light had turned the leaves a golden colour.
