Raise fell

Raise fell is a neighbour of Helvellyn, lying just to its north.

Just visible in the photo is The Chimney: the remains of an old half mile long flue that was used by the stone smelting works here. Nowadays, when the weather allows, Raise is used as a ski slope by the Lake District Ski Club.
