Mists shroud the ancient woodland of Deerbolts Woods on the shores of a calm Grasmere. The woods are part of the High Close Estate and are owned by the National Trust.
Photography at dawn in autumn is often accompanied by mist and sometimes it is simply too thick. I would have liked it to have been a bit thinner when I walked round the lake towards Deerbolts Woods. However it did allow me to take this atmospheric photo.
