After a night at Sprinkling Tarn I climbed Allen Crags in the dark to watch dawn. As the sun rose over the Langdale fells all I had for company were a few Herdwick sheep, a ubiquitous animal in the Lake District fells. It was hardly surprising I was alone as it was barely 5am.
Rossett Pike and Bow Fell can be seen in the in the middle distance. The Langdale Pikes and Pike of Blisco are in the background.
