Eskdale beech tree in autumn
While wandering along the banks of the river Esk after a visit to Stanley Ghyll falls I spotted this beech tree. As it was early in the autumn, the tree’s leaves hadn’t fallen yet and were a variety of yellows, oranges and greens. The backdrop of dark rocks on the riverbank just made the colours stand out all the more.
