Buckbarrow Crag

Buckbarrow Crag and Sca Fell winter sunset from Wast Water road

Buckbarrow Crag background

The impressive Buckbarrow Crag forms part of the southern face of Seatallan. Despite being crag and not a fell in its own right Wainwright decided to give it a separate entry in his Western Fells guide.

This sunset photo of Buckbarrow was taken from the road between Gosforth and Wast Water. Also visible is Illgill Head behind the trees on the right. And in the background Sca Fell towers above the head of Wasdale.
