While driving to Martindale the outlook didn’t look promising as the area around Ullswater was shrouded in thick mist, some of which can be seen in the photo. However by the time I reached Martindale the mist was behind me. I took this photo while climbing Howsteadbrow on my way to Angletarn Pikes.
