Dawn over the fells from Great End
Stood on the summit of Great End before 4:30am waiting for dawn, this was the view looking north-east towards the rising sun: the ridges of Lake District fells coloured blue in the pre-dawn light.
In the foreground the slopes of Glaramara lead down to Borrowdale, beyond which the High Seat ridge separates Watendlath from the Thirlmere Valley. And in the background a misty Eden Valley can be seen in the gap between the slopes of Blencathra and Clough Head.
