Landscape photography of the Lakes, Dales, Moors and Wolds
Deep Dale leading to Wharram Percy
There are numerous valleys in the Yorkshire Wolds named Deep Dale. I guess this is because the local folk who named things didn’t have a great imagination.
Anyway, this photo was taken while heading back along one of the Deep Dales to the village of Thixendale having visited the ruins of Wharram Percy. The church can just be seen at the end of the valley.
