scree lined steep sided ravine of gasgale gill with liza beck zig-zagging along the valley floor

Gasgale Gill desolation

The steep sided, scree lined valley of Gasgale Gill separating the fells of Whiteside and Grasmoor.

The footpath from Langthwaite Green Farm to Coledale Hause climbs up the left hand bank of Gasgale Gill. Its a wonderful climb apart from the places where landslips have caused the path to disappear into the gully.
