Glaramara ridge and Red Beck ravine panorama during red sunset

Glaramara panorama

Glaramara is the highest point on the long ridge separating Grains Gill and the Langstrath Valley in Borrowdale.

This panoramic photo of the ridge’s summit was taken on a wild camping trip at Sprinkling Tarn, one of many nights I’ve spent there. On this occasion dawn was not so good and resulted in no photos at all. During sunset the sun only appeared briefly and luckily when it did I had my camera to hand and took some shots of the ridge to produce this image.

On a subsequent Sprinkling Tarn camping trip I witnessed a much better dawn.
