Great Lingy Hut in winter
The remote bothy of Great Lingy Hut on Great Lingy Hill in winter.
Great Lingy Hut takes a bit of getting to regardless of which direction its approached from. This is especially true in winter with snow on the ground.
On this occasion the effort was worth it as the bothy stood out nicely against the white, wintery backdrop. I had to be quick too as less than five minutes later a snowstorm hid the bothy from view.
It’s a shame visibility was virtually nil. However I did return on a clear spring day and was lucky to see the long distance views from Great Lingy.
