Hallin Fell summit sunset
Hallin Fell is one of the easiest Wainwrights to bag if climbed from Martindale New Church. It is also one of the best vantage points for a view of Ullswater. In short the fell top is a great place to spend an evening watching sunset.
This photo was taken on a summer’s evening in 2018 and replaces a 5 year old picture I had taken of exactly the same view looking north. The main difference is that the stone pillar has now been rebuilt and is back to its original height.
