High Hall on The High Way
The ruin of High Hall is found very close to the source of the River Ure. Located on the old trading route called The High Way, it offers great views across the valley to Wild Boar Fell.
I can’t find any definitive answers as to its history although there are references suggesting it was an alehouse. However it may have been just a farmhouse.
