High Stile ridge rising above fog enshrouded Ennerdale and Buttermere valleys seen from Green Gable at sunset

High Stile from Green Gable

Sunset from Green Gable, to my mind one of the best views in the whole of the Lake District. The High Stile ridge rises between the fog enveloped valleys of Ennerdale and Buttermere. The Pillar ridge is to the left, with Haystacks and High Stile in the middle and Grasmoor on the right.

This was on the return leg of a great day out in the fells, described in my blog.
