Having climbed Caudale Moor the day before to camp at the southern end of the High Street ridge neat Thornthwaite Crag I endured one of the most stormy night’s camping in the fells I have experienced. Although I had very little sleep my alarm still managed to wake me up before dawn … thankfully.
