A view of Kilburn White Horse from the edge of Kilburn village.
The White Horse was created in 1857 by locals on the Sutton Bank escarpment near the village of the same name in the North York Moors. It is visible for many miles and to ensure that it stays that way every few years the exposed chalk is given a fresh coat of whitewash.
