Landscape photography of the Lakes, Dales, Moors and Wolds
Loweswater from Mellbreak
The top of Mellbreak consists of two summits connected by a ridge. This is the view over Loweswater from the northern (and higher) summit. As Mellbreak is on the western fringes of the Lakes, the view also takes in the Solway Firth and south-west Scotland.
The climb up Mellbreak from Loweswater village via White Crag is highly recommended. The return leg along the quiet valley of Mosedale completes a great short walk in the Lakes.
