I was nearing the summit of Lingmell when a storm swept over Pillar creating a twin rainbow above the valley of Mosedale. The storm was moving so I knew I had limited chance to grab this shot but just about got it.
And then dawned it on me that the storm was heading my way. That’s when I discovered it was a hailstorm.
