Located next to the meandering Newlands Beck, under the eastern flank of Maiden Moor, the remote Carlisle Mountaineering Club hut in the Newlands Valley can only be reached by driving or walking for a mile along an unmade track from Little Town.
This photo was taken as I returned to Little Town after a long day larking about on a snowy Dale Head, the lower slopes of which form the backdrop to this view.
