norber erratic boulder in sunshine under cloudy wintery skies

Lonely Norber Erratic

The Norber Erratics are a collection of gritstone boulders deposited on the southern slopes of Ingleborough near the village of Clapham at the end of the last Ice Age.

There is a particularly fine collection of them in one field. However this erratic was some distance away with very few friends close by. On the plus side it was bathed in sunshine unlike the others.
