white-out at pen-y-ghent summit with dry stone wall and fingerpost under deep snow during blizzard

Pen-y-ghent summit white-out

The dry stone wall running along the spine of Pen-y-ghent’s summit under thick snow.

Needless to say it was bitterly cold on the summit and I wasn’t keen on stopping long. However on seeing how atmospheric it was I took the time to set up my kit and take a few photos. I was glad I did too, almost as glad as I was that I’d bought my mittens!
