Snowy waymarker post at Pen-y-ghent summit

Pen-y-ghent Summit in Winter background

Pen-y-ghent summit, the smallest of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks at 2277 feet.

Taken on a wintery (yes, really) Christmas Day hike a few years ago. The shelter at the summit was actually quite crowded, as people tried to find shelter from the bitter wind.
