Pendragon Castle

The remote ruins of Pendragon Castle near Outhgill in the Mallerstang Valley.

Pendragon Castle dates back to the 12th Century and has had to be rebuilt a number of times since, both times due to fire. Subsequently Lady Anne Clifford did her bit to bring the castle back to life but, as is evident from the photo, the repairs didn’t last.
