The stretch of the Pennine Way in upper Swaledale near Muker is one of my favourite corners of the Dales. As the seasons change the plants bloom and fade meaning no two trips are the same.
In summer, with some rainfall, the woodland near Keld takes on the appearance of a rainforest carpetted with a dense tapestry of ferns.
