Place Fell summit dawn
A very colourful dawn from the trig point at Place Fell summit above Ullswater, a superb vantage point in the north eastern fells.
The previous night was spent wild camping at Coledale Hause with friends, watching The Lyrid meteor shower. The following morning I took the short climb up to Place Fell’s summit and took this photograph.
This photograph won the annual Lakeland Photography prize in 2013.
