ruined dry stone barn in raydale summer meadows and distant hamlet of marsett

Raydale ruin

Remote Raydale lays claim to be the host of the shortest river in England: the 2.5 mile long River Bain which flows into the River Ure at Bainbridge.

This photo was taken looking across the summer meadows at the head of the valley looking towards a distant Marsett, one of three hamlets in the dale.
