Middle Fell is a great vantage point for the giant fells ringing the head of Wasdale including Scafell Pike.
Having climbed to the fell’s summit late one winter’s afternoon I was fortunate enough to have a little bit of light to play with at sunset. This was the view over Wast Water to the twin peaks of Scafell Pike and Sca Fell separated by the ridge of Mickledore.
