Having climbed up to Styhead Tarn from Seathwaite in Borrowdale, I pitched my tent and settled down to watch sunset. The low sun briefly illuminated Great End crag and Scafell Pike before low clouds rolled in … and that was it. No more light or views whatsoever. Fortunately I had my camera ready to catch the moment.
I was also fortunate to have the whole of Styhead Tarn to myself as this is popular camping spot. Normally there would often be tents on the far shore.
