scale beck plunges over scale force waterfall in narrow ravine surrounded by ferns

Scale Force waterfall

Scale Force, where Scale Beck plunges 170 feet, is the tallest waterfall in the Lake District. Hidden in a deep gorge on the northern flank of Red Pike, it’s well worth a seeking out.

This particular photo was taken in winter when the water levels were slightly higher than normal. My wellies definitely came in handy!
