Snow cornice on Scar Crags above Rigg Beck

Scar Crags in winter

The view east from Scar Crags along the ridge towards Causey Pike with the Helvellyn ridge in the distance. Below is the quiet Rigg Beck valley, a great place for a walk away from the crowds.

Due to the amount of snow and wind there was an impressive snow cornice on the ridge, some of which can be seen in the foreground.
