The view of Ennerdale Water from just below Scoat Fell summit at sunset.


Having enjoyed the great climb up Steeple and then onto Scoat Fell, I had just started the less than enjoyable descent back into Ennerdale via Tewit How when I was greeted by this view. Even though daylight was quickly disappearing I had to stop for a photo break.


Thankfully I had a good torch as I couldn’t see a thing by the time I got back into the valley. Ennerdale is very dark at night!
