The view west from the summit of Great Gable, looking over a mist enshrouded Wasdale towards the distinctively shaped fell of Seatallan.
In the foreground mist is lapping at the base of Kirk Fell. Behind it the other Wasdale fells in view are Yewbarrow, Red Pike and Seatallan. Further afield the Irish Sea is hidden under the ubiquitous mist, the Isle of Man being just visible.
I decided to convert this photograph to black and white to emphasise the different tones.
The tale of this sensational day out is described in a blog entry about climbing Great Gable from Seatoller.
