Siss Cross view of Eskdale from Danby Low Moor in august

Siss Cross on Danby Low Moor

Siss Cross on Low Danby Moor marks the route of an old packhorse trail running north from Danby. In actual fact the original cross has been replaced by the weathered stone seen in the photo.

This is the view from the stone looking southwards towards the green Eskdale valley.
