Smearsett Scar and the Dales High Way

The limestone escarpment of Smearsett Scar in Ribblesdale overlooking part of the Dales High Way footpath.

The Dales High Way is one of a number of long distance routes through the Dales. Running from Saltaire near Bradford to Appleby-in-Westmorland in the Eden valley, the 90 mile long route passes through some of the Dales’ finest limestone country.
