St. James’ Church at Buttermere
The Victorian, red-brick St. James’ Church above Buttermere village on a misty autumn morning.
The church is situated just above the village of Buttermere at the foot of the Newlands Hause road and is the starting point of many fine walks. This day’s walk was particularly atmospheric as the valley was shrouded in mist all day.
