Stanley Ghyll Force waterfall in verdant gorge

Stanley Ghyll Force

Stanley Ghyll Force is a sixty foot high waterfall in the verdant, narrow gorge of Birker Beck in Eskdale.

A couple of visits and a lot of patience was required for this photo as it is often a breezy at the waterfall. Problems with spray on the lens and the many ferns and rhodedendrons being blurred therefore become issues. Eventually my patience was rewarded though, this one being my favourite.

A walk to Stanley Ghyll Force is described in my blog.
