Stone Arthur summit view

Stone Arthur is a rocky outcrop on the ridge rising from the Rothay valley towards the summit of Great Rigg. Thanks to its parent fell the views to the east are limited. However the view out west more than make up for that.

Taken on a clear evening in the fells the photograph shows Alcock Tarn on the neighbouring ridge and Grasmere in the valley below. Further away the Coniston fells are just about visible through the haze.
