The Duddon Valley, or Dunnerdale, seen from the summit of Buck Pike.
While climbing Dow Crag late on an autumnal day I was keeping an eye on the light over the Duddon Valley. It was constantly changing: dark clouds cast deep shadows while gaps allowed shafts of light to illuminate the valley.
On reaching Buck Pike I managed to take this photo, just before the quick-moving clouds dulled the scene.
