Looking down on the River Swale from the slopes of Melbecks Moor during an atmospheric sunset.
When returning back to Gunnerside at the end of a grey, winter’s day on Melbecks Moor above Swaledale I finally got to see some light. There had been no long distance views all day but it had still been a great walk. The walk got markedly better though as descended back down to Gunnerside. And the light stayed around long enough for me to get in position to grab this photo.
