Having parked at Ashness Jetty in the dark I walked up the lane towards Watendlath hoping for a clear dawn. It had looked promising on the drive over but cloud could easily scupper things (and often do).
As it turned, the weather stayed clear pretty much all day and this was just the first of many photos I took.
