Swainby Shooting House on wintery Whorlton Moor panorama

Swainby Shooting House

Swainby Shooting House lies in the middle of Whorlton Moor, a vast area of heather upland to the east of Osmotherley.

Its name suggests that it is used by the grouse shooting fraternity. Maybe it once was but nowadays it is used as a storage building.
