walled track from torver intake leading towards lingmoor and snow-capped langdale pikes under leaden winter skies

Torver Intake view

The view north over the Langdale Fells as seen from the crag of Torver Intake near Tarn Hows.

A short detour from the track leading from Knipe Fold to Tarn Hows leads to the craggy summit of Torver Intake. The view over the tarn isn’t the best in all honesty. However the views over Little Langdale towards Lingmoor and the Langdale Pikes makes up for this.

This was one of those days when the weather in one valley seemed to be totally different to the weather in a neighbouring valley. On this occasion I was in the right valley!
