Wast Water reflections
A view of Great Gable reflected in Wast Water from near the source of the River Irt.
The River Irt’s source is at the south-western end of Wast Water at the foot of The Screes. From here the river takes a circuitous route to Ravenglass where it joins the River Esk near the coast.
