Yew Tree Tarn reflections

Yew Tree Tarn in Yewdale between Ambleside and Coniston is a small man-made lake in the southern fells.

The lake was formed in the 1930’s when the local landowner, James Marshall, dammed the Yewdale Beck that flows through the valley. The Marshall family were also responsible for landscaping nearby Tarn Hows.
