A gap in the clouds rising out of Wasdale reveals the summits of Great Gable and Green Gable.
After a night camping on Allen Crags I experienced a dawn of swirling clouds and constantly changing light. Pointing the camera towards The Gables on the other side of Styhead Pass I took a series of photos. All of them were different but this was my favourite: the peaks of both fells visible separated by Windy Gap.
